The Oil Change & Tire Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire services, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shop environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and focused on delivering quality work and great customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform oil changes, including draining and replacing engine oil and installing new oil filters.
- Check and top off all vehicle fluids; inspect filters, belts, hoses, wiper blades, and lights.
- Mount, dismount, repair, rotate, and balance tires on passenger and light-duty vehicles.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, tread depth, and air pressure, and report recommendations.
- Accurately complete inspections and document all services performed on repair orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and shop floors.
- Follow all safety procedures and use lifts, jacks, and tools properly.
- Assist with inventory of tires, oil, filters, and shop supplies as needed.
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members about vehicle needs and status.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping the shop neat and organized.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Previous experience with oil changes and/or tire service is a plus; willing to train.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to lift heavy tires and equipment and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
