● Load and unload raw materials and finished parts, ensuring proper fixturing and alignment for each operation.
● Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to select proper tooling, fixtures, and machining parameters.
● Input, edit, and verify CNC programs (G-code/M-code); use MasterCAM for programming and Vericut for toolpath simulation and collision verification prior to running new programs.
● Make offset adjustments as needed to hold tight tolerances.
● Perform in-process and first-article inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM as applicable) to verify parts meet specifications.
● Monitor machine performance and tooling condition; identify and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
● Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC equipment.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.
● Accurately document production, inspection, and quality data as required.
● Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve process issues and support continuous improvement.
