Responsibilities
The HR/Payroll Manager plays a vital role in managing human resources processes, overseeing payroll functions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Responsibilities include:
- Manage daily HR processes and facility-level HR support
- Oversee payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Provide administrative support to the HR function
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff
- Assist with terminations, onboarding, and performance review processes
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll systems
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
- Complete and maintain I-9 forms and documentation
- Submit background screening requests for new hires
- Create and maintain employee files and records
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; degree preferred
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, procedures, and payroll functions
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Experience with UKG Ready software a plus
