Supplee Nursery School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills for their future. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for implementing curriculum, fostering positive relationships with students, collaborating with parents, and working together with other colleagues to support each child's growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and physical education tailored to preschool-aged children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Foster communication with parents regarding their child's development, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with diverse learning needs through early intervention strategies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field or CDA preferred.
- Experience working with young children in an elementary school, preschool or child care setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in curriculum development.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in lesson planning and classroom management is highly desirable. .
- Ability to create engaging learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
