Position Overview
We are seeking a polished, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing specialty practice. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining our high standard of professionalism.
Part-time and full-time positions available.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
- Schedule appointments for specialty services and medical visits
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations when needed
- Collect co-pays and manage patient payments
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Coordinate with doctors and clinical team for efficient patient flow
- Answer multi-line phones and manage patient communications
- Assist with referrals and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical or optometry office
- Experience with medical coding and insurance billing strongly preferred
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and vision/medical insurance claims
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with EHR systems
- Bilingual is a plus
