Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
- Engage actively with guests to recommend drinks, answer questions about menu items, and ensure an outstanding customer experience
- Maintain knowledge of beverage recipes, develop new drink offerings, and stay current on industry trends such as mixology techniques and beverage presentation
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS while handling cash and credit card payments securely
- Ensure all food safety standards are met by practicing proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness at the bar area
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and placing orders as needed to prevent shortages
- Collaborate with team members to uphold a welcoming atmosphere and support bar management in daily operations including banquet or catering service when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bartending or food service roles within the hospitality industry, especially in fine dining or upscale environments
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, cocktail recipes, beverage recipe development, and craft beer options
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders simultaneously
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods effectively
- Experience in mixology techniques and beverage presentation to craft visually appealing drinks
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math understanding for inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety
