ASME Pressure Vessel Welder
Full-Time | 1st Shift | Pay Based on Experience
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Welder to fabricate ASME pressure vessels, piping, and heat exchangers for industrial applications. Projects range from small vessels and piping assemblies to large-scale heat exchangers manufactured from stainless steel, carbon steel, and high-alloy materials.
Candidates must be proficient in 6G welding and comfortable working from blueprints, welding procedure specifications, and technical drawings. This position is entirely indoors in a shop environment.
Schedule Options
Standard First Shift
- Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
- Friday, 5:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
Alternative Four-Day Schedule
- Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform 6G welding on ASME pressure vessels
- Fabricate stainless steel and high-alloy pressure vessels for industrial applications
- Complete layout, assembly, and construction of vessels, piping, and heat exchangers
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and welding procedure specifications
- Produce welds that meet ASME codes, project specifications, and quality standards
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys used in pressure-vessel construction
- Use TIG, MIG, Flux Core, and stick welding processes
- Learn and apply additional processes such as Submerged Arc, RMD, short-circuit, spray, and pulse-spray welding
- Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance
- Work with engineering and quality-control teams to meet project requirements
- Follow strict safety procedures, including requirements for confined spaces and working at heights
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Required Qualifications
- 6G welding certification
- Experience welding ASME pressure vessels
- Proficiency with TIG, MIG, and stick welding
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and welding procedure specifications
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to weld quality
- Willingness to learn and use additional welding processes
- Solid work ethic, common sense, and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to meet the physical demands of an industrial shop environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with stainless steel and high-alloy pressure vessels
- Experience using Flux Core welding
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods and quality-assurance processes
- Experience fabricating piping or large-scale heat exchangers
Interview Requirements
Candidates will complete a sample weld during the interview so their current skill level can be evaluated. Please bring the required welding PPE for the weld test.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
