Prerequisite for position (physical):
- Must be able to lift and replace ‘container bounce board’ for each container being filled with
customer supplied products. This may be once up to twelve times per hour.
- Must be able to step up/down from a sit down Hilo frequently
- Must be able to bend to inspect/clean customer/internal containers. This may be once up to twelve
times per hour.
- Must be able to maneuver a sit down Hilo using the required hand controls/steering wheel/ foot pedals
- May be required to lift packages up to 35 pounds. Corrugated or plastic containers may be used to
fill customer supplied products. That may need to be stacked / wrapped / taped closed
- May have to manually push/pull a customer/internal container
- Must be able to bend to meet the required housekeeping procedures.
Objective:
Employee will effectively and efficiently operator the designated fork truck for the designated machine in a safe and proper manner to meet the quality, safety and production goals established by the company.

- Operate the designated fork truck in an effective and efficient manner following all safety measures.

- Operate in tandem with the machine operator to proper load and un load the required production orders.
- Complete all required company forms and production documentation thoroughly.
- Ensure the previous processing step was completed by reviewing the work instruction.
- Ensure the proper processing step as stated on the work instruction (pre-treatment / coating.
- application) is being applied and verify the machine, and all other aspects of the operation are correct.
- Verify the previous production order is NOT similar to the order in which you are about to process; i.e. DO NOT process production parts that visually look alike – back to back.
- Inspect the production order being processed before processing begins, review for any quality defects and the overall temperature of the production order is not over 95°F.
- Ensure internal/ customer containers are filled properly/ and not above the “Fill Line” and/or 2-4 inches below the top rim of the container.
- Ensure the internal/ customer containers are completely empty after loading the container into the equipment.
- Ensure the load station is clear of any foreign material or stray parts before loading the next production order.
- Store internal / customer containers in a systematic order.
- Ensure customer containers are prepared with the required customer specific liner(s) – paper or plastic- as listed on the work instruction.
- Ensure work instructions are controlled in a chronological order as they are processed.
- Ensure containers that are to be used are clean and contaminate free; if needed remove all contaminates and wipe the entire internal surface clean.
- Operate the machine in a manner that you meet the minimum production standard.
- Ensure loading the proper order – review the number of tubs – container numbers – container type – etc to make sure the order is correct. Inspect the first and last portions of the order as it is dispensing from the curing oven or barrel.
- Ensure the quality of the production part after processing, with consistent audits and inspections of the product. If any found, notify your direct supervisor.
- Inspect all processing equipment being used through consistent audits and inspections before and after each production order which includes all load/unload areas, all barrels and/or centrifuge baskets, all transfer areas, all customer supplied and/or internal processing containers.
- Remove centrifuge baskets as required for quality making sure to not damage the component.
- Effectively maintain work area – clean, neat and organized at all times. Verify that there are no production parts in and around your work areas.
- Empty all “scrap bins” at the end of your shift.
- Complete all necessary housekeeping/cleaning areas before your shift is complete.
