Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The Dental Office Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient office workflow, exceptional patient experiences, staff supervision, scheduling, billing, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the dental office to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Supervise, train, and support administrative and clinical staff.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment management.
- Oversee patient registration, records management, and confidentiality compliance.
- Monitor insurance verification, claims processing, billing, and collections.
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and service recovery in a professional manner.
- Maintain office policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Manage inventory, supplies, equipment maintenance, and vendor relationships.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports, productivity metrics, and financial data.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, and staff development.
- Promote a positive team culture focused on excellent patient care and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable dental regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Dental office management or dental administrative experience.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, insurance plans, and billing practices.
- Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience managing a dental practice.
- Familiarity with treatment presentation and case acceptance processes.
- Experience with insurance eligibility.
