We are seeking a Laborer to join our team in Tok, Alaska. This position is based on the Manh Choh Mine Site.
Responsibilities
- Perform general physical labor, maintenance, and janitorial tasks indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
- Ensure grounds and facilities are clean and clear of debris including mud, dirt, snow, leaves, rocks, etc.
- Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Ensure that work areas are clean and organized and that equipment is properly maintained
- Complete special projects as needed
- Prioritize safety at all times, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed
- Other job duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities
- The ability to work safely at a fast pace and under pressure to maintain flow of business
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items
- Frequent walking, standing, stretching, bending, squatting, and reaching
- The ability to work indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions
- The ability to lift 50 pounds
- The ability to work independently and as a team
- The ability to follow verbal and written directions
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic knowledge and general awareness of safety in a working environment
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
