Smitty's Tree Service is a growing, professional tree care company serving the south and south suburbs of Chicago. We take pride in providing safe, high-quality tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and emergency storm services while delivering exceptional customer service.
We're looking for an experienced, motivated Tree Service Estimator who enjoys meeting customers, solving problems, and helping grow our business.
Responsibilities
- Meet with residential and commercial customers to inspect trees and provide recommendations.
- Prepare accurate estimates for tree removal, trimming, pruning, stump grinding, cabling, plant health care, and emergency work.
- Explain proposed work and answer customer questions.
- Build strong relationships with homeowners, property managers, municipalities, and commercial clients.
- Follow up on estimates to close sales.
- Document job details, measurements, and photos.
- Maintain customer records using company software.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience estimating tree work or working in the tree care industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of tree identification, pruning practices, and tree removal methods is preferred.
- Excellent communication and sales skills.
- Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate services.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and estimating software.
- Valid Illinois driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISA Certified Arborist certification
- Experience using CRM or tree service management software such as SingleOps
