Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this dynamic role, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Perform electrical repairs, troubleshoot issues using schematics, and utilize tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose problems accurately
- Carry out welding tasks and mechanical repairs, including the use of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities such as plumbing repairs, HVAC servicing, and residential painting projects when needed
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset history
- Supervise or assist with small teams during maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and tasks are completed efficiently
- Respond promptly to facility issues or emergencies, coordinating with relevant teams or contractors as necessary to resolve problems swiftly
Skills
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively
- Mechanical knowledge covering various equipment types, tools, and repair techniques
- Proficiency in welding techniques for metal fabrication and repairs
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in automation or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices across residential or commercial settings
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals accurately
- Supervising experience in maintenance or facilities roles, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in diverse settings
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking
- Competence in using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments
- Fluency in English for clear communication across all levels of operations
