Automated Solder Machine Operator
Location: West Boylston, MA
Pay: $20-24 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Automated Solder Machine Operator to support our Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating wave solder, selective solder, PCB washing, or de-paneling equipment in a high-quality electronics manufacturing environment.

- Set up, operate, and monitor wave solder and/or selective solder equipment to meet production and quality requirements.
- Perform machine setups, changeovers, and product changeovers.
- Monitor solder temperatures, conveyor speeds, flux levels, and other process parameters.
- Inspect soldered printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure workmanship meets quality standards.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing documentation.
- Identify solder defects and make process adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Perform preventative maintenance, routine cleaning, and replenishment of soldering materials.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
- Follow all quality procedures, ESD requirements, and safety standards.
- Experience operating Wave Solder or Selective Solder equipment
- Electronics manufacturing or PCBA production experience
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly experience
- Knowledge of automated soldering processes
- Ability to read assembly drawings, work instructions, and BOMs
- Experience with machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- IPC-A-610 certification or knowledge
- SMT and Through-Hole assembly experience
- AOI, ICT, or functional testing experience
- Preventative maintenance experience
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience working in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or other regulated manufacturing environments
