Title: Festival Producer
FLSA: Full-Time Exempt
Salary Range: $43,000 - $46,000
Reports To: Director of Festivals
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage festival component production, on-site installation/strike, and festival inventory management.
- Coordinate with onsite cross-departmental team and external contractors.
- Research and manage the production and execution of festival components from initial concept to delivery and implementation.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Design departments for development of on-brand festival elements and signage.
- Prepare and manage budgets for festival design, pre-production, on-site installation, strike, and storage, working with cross-departmental team leads. Work with cross-departmental teams to develop, monitor, and adjust festival production schedules in a year-round capacity.
- Manage storage, transportation, and maintenance of festival inventory.
- Ensure adherence to contracts for festival production and contract labor.
- Schedule and oversee management of contract and seasonal festival production staff.
- Operate forklifts, lulls, and boom lifts as required for the production, installation and strike of seasonal festivals. (Training will be provided if necessary.)
- Ensure that all work performed meets safety and code requirements and the event safety standards.
- Assist with additional support for the Penrod Society’s Penrod Arts Fair, held annually on Newfields’ campus.
- Provide onsite technical and operational support on a rotating shift schedule with the rest of the Festivals Department during the run of show for all festivals—ensuring that Festivals are up and running. This includes some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Provide assistance in the planning and execution of Festival Programs with the Manager of Festivals.
- Schedule, coordinate and lead volunteer groups on key Festival projects.

Educations and/or Experience
- Degree in Event Production, Construction, Operations, Theatre Production, Horticulture or related field, preferred
- Comprehensive experience in office, google, project management, related programs
- Event production experience a plus
- Familiarity with projection equipment a plus
- Familiarity with forklifts, boom lifts and other construction equipment a plus
- Knowledge of building and installation materials a plus
