LOGISTICS & OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
Position Summary
The Logistics & Operations Coordinator manages the administrative and logistics flow of customer orders and international/domestic shipments from order entry through delivery documentation and invoicing support. The position coordinates customers, overseas manufacturers/suppliers, trucking companies, ports/load-out providers, customs/border services, and internal accounting/management while maintaining accurate order number records.
Primary Responsibilities
Receive customer purchase orders and maintain complete order files.
Assign and track order numbers according to established procedures.
Create and maintain Lumber purchase orders, sales orders/order confirmations, and supporting order documentation.
Verify product specifications, packaging, and container configuration.
Send manufacturer/supplier purchase orders and customer order confirmations to the correct recipients.
Monitor supplier shipping documentation and use delivery orders, bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping tickets to coordinate the next shipment step.
Coordinate trucking, customer pickup, port transfer/load-out, delivery appointments, and customer-specific routing.
Prepare customer-facing packing slips, shipping tickets/BOLs, and commercial invoices. Prepare U.S.-to-Canada documentation and coordinate border crossing.
Maintain customer-specific port, pickup, billing, packaging, and document-distribution instructions. Verify invoices against supplier BOL/packing documentation and enter applicable freight charges. Maintain electronic and printed shipment/order files so documentation can be retrieved by order number.
Communicate shipment status, document needs, exceptions, and delays to management, customers, carriers, suppliers, and accounting.
Follow established SOPs and flag discrepancies or situations not covered by an approved procedure rather than guessing.
Occasional travel is required.
Work Schedule: Day shift 8 hour days between 6am-5pm as arranged

Good judgment about when to proceed under an SOP and when to escalate.
Strong file organization and record-keeping.
Ability to work with customers, suppliers, carriers, customs/border providers, accounting, and management.

Border/customs submissions completed accurately and release followed through.
Pickup/delivery appointments and carrier communication completed on time.

Exceptions escalated promptly rather than discovered after shipment/delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, accounting, operations, or a related field is preferred but not necessary when a candidate has relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 year office experience.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Familiar and comfortable with production environment
- Must be able to pass a background, credit check, drug screen and have reliable transportation.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
