Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all mansion areas, including guest rooms, common spaces, hallways, and service areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Use vacuuming, floor care tools, and other cleaning equipment effectively to maintain spotless floors and surfaces
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or cleaning supplies while adhering to safety protocols for injury prevention
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas in accordance with hospitality industry best practices
- Respond promptly to guest requests or special cleaning needs with professionalism and a customer service-oriented attitude
- Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures including safety protocols, emergency procedures, and cleanliness standards to ensure smooth operations
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments preferred
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards is highly advantageous
- Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely and knowledge of chemical handling procedures is essential
- Demonstrated ability to perform floor cleaning, vacuuming, heavy lifting, and manual handling tasks efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest satisfaction in a hospitality setting
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance is desirable
- Previous hotel experience or custodial experience that emphasizes attention to detail and reliability will set you up for success in this role
