*Job Summary*
As an Eye Care Technician at our clinic, you will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals in providing quality care to patients. *Essential Functions*
- Collect detailed medical history, determine reason for the patient's visit and document patient information accurately in medical records
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as checking pupils, eye pressures, and visual acuity
- Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment
- Support healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
- Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing procedures
- Communicate with patients regarding the use of drops, physician orders, or surgery related questions
- Communicate with other clinics/surgery facilities regarding patient care
- Assist with answering calls and scheduling appointments
- Assist with surgical prior authorization requests
*Experience*
- Previous experience in medical office setting is beneficial
- Knowledge of clinical data entry into exam software a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
