- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and issuing receipts with precision
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain stock levels by assisting with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and organizing products for easy access
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about store products, policies, and promotions using clear communication skills
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when managing inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
- Support store cleanliness and organization to ensure an inviting shopping environment at all times
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash register operations in a retail setting
- Strong supervising experience or leadership skills to assist in team coordination when needed
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and inventory management
- Skilled in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Experience with product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of merchandise
- Familiarity with stock management tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Exceptional phone etiquette for professional communication over the phone or in person
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions confidently and accurately
