Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to track stock levels, process shipments, and update records accurately.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, using pallet jacks, or fork trucks, and other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and shipping logistics requirements.
- Maintain organized stockrooms by stocking shelves, conducting regular inventory counts, and managing stock rotation.
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities, ensuring all items are properly documented and comply with trade regulations.
- Use Microsoft Office tools to generate reports, update logs, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Support warehouse operations by performing data entry tasks, managing ERP systems like SAGE, and ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with a computer.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of shipping logistics, order picking & packing processes, and trade compliance standards including international trade regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in stock management and order fulfillment tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and support customer service initiatives related to warehouse distribution.
