Responsibilities
- Lead installation, service, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute precise system setups.
- Supervise and coordinate field service activities, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as equipment repair, welding, plumbing connections, and ammonia refrigeration handling.
- Utilize diagnostic tools like ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues within HVAC/R systems effectively.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices in HVAC installation, service techniques, and safety procedures.
- Manage inventory of parts and tools required for installations and repairs while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction-related HVAC installation or service technician roles with a strong mechanical background.
- Extensive knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration, and property maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, boiler operation, welding techniques, and equipment repair in commercial or residential settings.
- Familiarity with field service operations involving air conditioning units, mechanical systems, plumbing connections, and property maintenance tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
- Strong understanding of HVAC/R systems including refrigeration cycles, mechanical components, electrical troubleshooting using ohmmeters.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and apply HVAC design concepts during installation projects.
