Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a Labor & Delivery position in West Jordan, UT. The RN will provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients in an acute-care setting while working collaboratively with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Position Details
- Unit: Labor & Delivery
- Setting: Acute Care
- Shift: Nights
- Shift Time: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- EMR: EPIC
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout labor and delivery.
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments and continuously monitor patient status.
- Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Assist with labor management and delivery procedures.
- Recognize changes in maternal or fetal condition and respond appropriately.
- Collaborate with OB physicians, anesthesia, neonatal staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
- Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care throughout the labor and delivery process.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN Labor & Delivery experience.
- Previous Labor & Delivery experience.
- Active ACLS certification.
- Active BLS (AHA) certification.
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- STABLE certification.
- Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills.
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend.
Pay: $70.00 - $75.92 per hour
