Job Title: House Manager / Professional Organizer (House Assistant)
Employment Type: Part-Time, 9 to 12 hours per week, W-2
Job Location: Private residence, Colorado Springs, CO 80904 (near the Garden of the Gods Club and Coronado)
Salary Range: $22 to $25 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., plus every other Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
POSITION SUMMARY
The House Manager / Professional Organizer maintains the flow, reset, and consistency of a private family home during a set morning shift. This role runs the daily reset, prepares breakfast, drives children to school two to three mornings per week, and works a rotating organizing cycle through every room, cabinet, and storage area in the house. The KonMari method is the standard used in this home and is required. The right person creates order, anticipates needs, and communicates clearly without being managed.
HOUSEHOLD SUMMARY
This is a private residence owned by a busy professional family with school-age and teenage children and two dogs. The home runs on written standards, photo references, and a daily checklist, so the person in this role always knows what "done" looks like. The family values discretion, follow-through, and systems that hold up without supervision. This is a long-term position for someone who wants a consistent morning schedule and real ownership of the household systems.
DAILY NON-NEGOTIABLES
- Clock in and out on site through Sling.
- Complete and submit the daily Jotform checklist before clocking out. A shift is not complete until the checklist is submitted.
- Attach photos of finished work to the checklist as directed.
OBJECTIVES
Listed in order of daily significance.
- Clock in on site through Sling at the start of every shift and clock out on site at the end.
- Reset the home each shift — clear kitchen and bathroom counters, file papers, put dishes away, make beds, move laundry to hampers.
- Prepare and serve family breakfast.
- Drive children to school two to three mornings per week.
- Follow the reference photos to return each room to its documented standard.
- Organize one assigned zone each shift — kitchen cabinets, set of drawers, closets, or pantry section — using the KonMari method.
- Complete and submit the daily Jotform checklist on site before clocking out, including written notes and photos of finished work.
- Track household inventory and restock supplies before items run out. Add items to the weekly grocery list based on family plan/preference
- Review and maintain the household calendar and file household documents.
- Add items to reorder- supplies, etc weekly and confirm deliveries arrive.
- Rotate through the home on a documented maintenance cycle — rooms, cabinets, drawers, refrigerator, freezer, garage, and storage — to purge, wipe down, and relabel.
- Run errands, including order pickup, dry cleaning, gifts, and returns.
- Schedule contractors, meet them on site, and confirm completed work.
- Manage pet grooming appointments and arrange or provide pet care during family travel, typically one to two weekends per month.
- Prepare the home for guests and in-home events, including packing, unpacking, and restocking.
- Plan and register children for summer camps and seasonal activities.
EXAMPLE SHIFT — WEDNESDAY, 6:30 A.M. TO 10:00 A.M.
- 6:30 a.m. — Arrive, clock in on site through Sling, assist with breakfast and girl’s hair, and begin the daily reset.
- 7:10 a.m. — Drive the teenager to high school and 2 younger kids to elementary school
- 7:50 a.m. — Return, finish the daily reset, and move into the system reset cycle.
- 8:30 a.m. — Work the assigned zone project for the day, or a small area such as under a sink if a larger project is not scheduled.
- 9:30 a.m. — Complete and submit the Jotform checklist with photos and notes. Clock out on site through Sling, and depart.

- Applies the KonMari method independently, including labeling, clear-bin systems, and daily resets.
- Explains the organizing process and identifies the products required to sustain it.

- Manages time across a three-hour shift without supervision.
- Communicates by text, email, and shared calendar with same-day response.
- Documents completed work with photos and written notes.
- Solves problems and handles urgent household issues calmly.

- Works safely and patiently around children and pets.
- Comfortable with braiding, curling, drying and styling girl’s hair

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in professional home organizing, house management, or property management.
- Demonstrated KonMari experience is required. Before-and-after photos of prior organizing work are requested with the application.
- Proficiency with a smartphone and with excel, email, Jotform, Sling, and shared calendar software.
- Valid driver license, reliable personal vehicle, and proof of current auto insurance.
- Background check, credit check, and drug screen required prior to a written offer.
- CPR certification preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for up to three consecutive hours.
- Climb stairs and use a step stool.
- Drive during morning traffic.
- Work around household dogs and standard cleaning products.
