Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately according to established recipes and safety standards
- Prepare ingredients and assemble menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Cook and plate food items with precision, utilizing proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety standards and food safety management protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation and waste disposal
- Support food service operations by serving orders efficiently and accurately to customers or staff
- Operate POS systems such as Clover POS to process transactions efficiently while handling cash and card payments with accuracy
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing inquiries professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times for customers
- Support team members by performing basic math calculations for cash handling, sales totals, and inventory counts as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety protocols is advantageous
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus but not mandatory; training will be available
- Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, food handling procedures, and restaurant operations is beneficial
