Office Manager / Studio Director Position Summary
So Fly Kids is seeking a reliable, organized, and people-focused Office Manager / Studio Director to support the daily operations of our Playa Vista dance & music studio.
For most of the year, this role functions as a Studio Director position focused on studio operations, staff support, customer communication, enrollment management, and creating a positive, organized environment for our families and team.
Because So Fly Kids follows the LAUSD calendar, the role also transitions into a Camp Director leadership position during Summer, Spring, and Winter Break camps. These camp seasons are an exciting and important part of our business and require someone who enjoys leadership, organization, and creating a fun, safe experience for children and staff alike.
*We do have a seasoned Camp Director to assist remotely with planning and in person 1-2 times per week with implementation during our camps.
This is a long-term, in-person role ideal for someone local who enjoys both teamwork and independent responsibility. Dance experience is encouraged but not required.
Compensation
- $26/hour for the first 90 days
- $28/hour or salaried structure thereafter (pending performance review)
- Opportunity for annual raises based on studio growth and performance
Schedule
Sunday–Thursday, 25-30 Hours
- Mon–Thurs: Typically between 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM (5–6 hour shifts vary by day)
- Sunday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM (required)
- Friday & Saturday: OFF (
- Occasional Saturdays or shift swaps as needed
- Camp schedule (summer, spring & winter break) will shift more towards M-F 8-4
- Training start date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Director and overall studio operations
- Coordinate and support Dance & Music Instructors, including scheduling and reinforcement of studio policies and expectations
- Greet families, answer phones, and assist current and prospective clients
- Manage office systems including enrollment, attendance, rosters, and student records
- Provide calm, professional customer service and assist in resolving minor issues and parent concerns
- Create polished written communications (strong grammar and professionalism required)
- Help maintain studio cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation
- Utilize Google Workspace daily; Canva experience is a plus
Seasonal Flow of Responsibilities
- September–January: Focus on trials, customer experience, and supporting enrollment growth during our primary season launch
- January–June: Assist with recital preparation, performances, costume organization, scheduling, and overall production coordination
- Summer / Spring / Winter Breaks: Serve as Camp Director during seasonal camps, including staff coordination, activity planning, organization, and daily camp operations
