Funeral Director / Embalmer – Southern Oregon
We are seeking a licensed Funeral Director / Embalmer to join our Southern Oregon team. This position is being opened as part of long-term succession planning due to an upcoming retirement, and it may include leadership or management opportunities for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will be professional, compassionate, dependable, and comfortable serving families in both funeral home and cemetery settings. We are looking for someone who can provide excellent care to families, support daily operations, and work well with a team.
Responsibilities may include:
- Meeting with families and arranging funeral, cremation, and cemetery services
- Coordinating services, visitations, gravesides, and cremation-related care
- Preparing and filing required documentation
- Embalming and preparation room duties, as licensed and assigned
- Supporting staff, operations, and community outreach
- Assisting with leadership responsibilities as opportunities develop
Qualifications:
- Oregon Funeral Service Practitioner and/or Embalmer license preferred
- Dual licensure strongly preferred
- Out-of-state licensees eligible for Oregon reciprocity are encouraged to apply
- Prior funeral home experience required
- Management or supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and family-service skills required

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
