A leading, multi-billion-dollar global retail enterprise is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Product Development Training Specialist to join our centralized Process Technology & Training team. In this dynamic, high-visibility role, you will bridge the gap between technical software functionality and real-world creative application. You will be responsible for the design, development, virtual/in-person facilitation, and implementation of core software systems and business processes utilized by our product development community.
The ideal candidate possesses a natural passion for instructional design, thrives when presenting to diverse audience skill levels, and has a strong foundational understanding of retail product lifecycles and technical design software.
Responsibilities:
- Lead comprehensive training sessions-both live in-person and virtually-covering a variety of critical software solutions within the Product Development division (including specialized PLM systems, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft OneNote, and SharePoint).
- Architect, write, and develop high-quality training collateral, including interactive curriculum outlines, visual user guides, presentation decks, quick-reference job aids, and instructional video tutorials.
- Act as the primary tier-one technical application support resource to troubleshoot, coach, and resolve active software or process-related roadblocks for internal users.
- Conduct ongoing training needs assessments to evaluate program effectiveness, track adoption metrics, and collaborate on strategic updates to optimize onboarding workflows.
- Partner directly with cross-functional product development, styling, and technical design professionals to ensure seamless adoption of upgraded corporate digital tools.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of dedicated training delivery, software facilitation, or corporate onboarding experience.
- Proven ability to rapidly learn complex Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software or enterprise database systems and translate intricate functionality into simple, user-friendly instructions.
- Robust working knowledge of the Office 365 ecosystem (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, and Microsoft Forms).
Preferred Skills (A Plus!)
- Previous experience navigating or supporting a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
- A basic structural understanding of corporate Product Development, apparel merchandising, or retail soft/hard goods design workflows.
- Familiarity or technical working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign to support creative design teams.
