Valley Feed & Supply, Inc. is seeking a dependable, skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain our commercial facilities and equipment. What You'll Do
As our Maintenance Technician, you'll perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including:
- Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, flooring, and painting issues.
- Complete basic welding and fabrication projects as needed.
- Assemble, install, and repair fixtures, equipment, and building components.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various company locations.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory needed for daily work.
- Keep accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Report major repairs or safety concerns to management.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and general repairs.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Dependable with excellent attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Willing to travel locally between company locations (no overnight travel required).
