What We’re Looking For
Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Specialty Provider Engagement Coordinator to join our team! The Specialty Provider Engagement Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for assigned network providers and is responsible for managing provider inquiries through resolution. The Coordinator provides guidance on services, policies, workflows, and system processes to support effective service delivery.
The Specialty Provider Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with internal departments to resolve provider issues, ensures timely follow-up, and maintains consistent communication with providers. This role supports a positive provider experience by delivering accurate information, facilitating issue resolution, and reinforcing adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements.
This role may be assigned to specific provider segments such as LTSS, DME, specialty providers, or essential providers based on organizational need.
On a typical day, you might:

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned network providers, coordinating communication, issue resolution, and strategic support.

Independently coordinate provider inquiries from intake through resolution, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.

Monitor, track, and address open issues. Follow up with internal teams to ensure timely resolution and clear communication back to providers.

Provide technical assistance, guidance, and expertise to providers on claims, authorizations, contracts, system navigation, and organizational processes.

Identify recurring, complex, or systemic issues and escalate with clear documentation, recommended actions, and follow-through to resolution.

Qualifications
Required:
-
High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years’ experience in a medical office, health plan, managed care organization, hospital (ED or Inpatient), healthcare practice, or other healthcare setting working directly with patients, members, providers and/or other clinicians; OR
-
Associate’s degree and four (4) years’ experience in a medical office, health plan, managed care organization, hospital (ED or Inpatient), healthcare practice, or other healthcare setting working directly with patients, members, providers and/or other clinicians; OR
-
Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years’ experience in a medical office, health plan, managed care organization, hospital (ED or Inpatient), healthcare practice, or other healthcare setting working directly with patients, members, providers and/or other clinicians; OR
-
Equivalent combination of education/experience.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must reside North Carolina.

Must be able to travel within catchment as required.
Preferred:
-
Degree in Business Administration, Health, or Human Services field
-
Experience in vendor or provider relations, customer service, or other client-facing roles within a healthcare or call center environment, including conflict resolution
