Job Responsibilities:
- This is a temporary on-site position at our festival in Evansville, IN - accommodations and travel will be covered.
- Operate power plugs of pre-installed lantern groups , connect finished lantern wiring, troubleshoot open/short circuit & on-site malfunction repair; NO modification to building permanent panel & fixed wiring.
- Festival timeline: 7/25/2026-10/4/2026
- Training Timeline: 2026/7/25-2026/7/29 - (Approx. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 1 hour break at noon)
- Familiarize with the venue layout, power outlet locations and related work scope; Review common on-site issues and standard troubleshooting procedures and so on.
- Daily Schedule: 7/30/2026 - 10/4/2026 - Thursdays - Sundays (Approx. 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM) (Detailed schedule will be provided separately)
- 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM(Before opening): Power on the lanterns and check if the electrical circuits are working properly; Basic maintenance on lantern sets and check wind-bracing/structural stability;
- 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (During Show): Patrol the lantern areas, log any issues, and fix simple lighting problems on-site. Give feedbacks to the onsite coordinator.
- 10:15 PM – 11:00 PM (Closing) : Turn off all lanterns at closing time.
- Qualifications:
- 1+ year electrical maintenance / festival lighting experience, familiar with multimeter fault detection, work under licensed Journeyman supervision.
- Hourly rate: $25 - $28, commensurate with experience
