Position Summary
Noble Village Clawson is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and hospitality-driven Bartender to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in creating memorable guest experiences while helping build an exciting new Japanese-inspired cocktail program.
The ideal candidate is passionate about craft cocktails, enjoys engaging with guests, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. Beyond making outstanding beverages, the bartender serves as an ambassador for the Noble Village brand by creating an inviting atmosphere where guests gather to enjoy great food, exceptional drinks, and meaningful experiences.
Essential Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
- Produce cocktails according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain consistency in drink quality, taste, and appearance.
- Recommend beverages that pair well with menu items.
- Assist in developing seasonal cocktails and specialty beverage offerings.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, sake, Japanese whisky, wine, and specialty ingredients.
Guest Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service to every guest.
- Create a welcoming, friendly, and professional atmosphere.
- Engage guests with product knowledge and thoughtful recommendations.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and resolve issues whenever possible.
- Build positive relationships that encourage repeat business.
- Help create an environment where guests enjoy spending time with friends, family, and colleagues.
Sales & Point of Sale
- Process guest orders accurately through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit card, and electronic payments responsibly.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
- Promote featured cocktails, beverages, and food pairings to enhance the guest experience and support sales goals.
Alcohol Compliance & Safety
- Verify identification and ensure guests meet the legal drinking age.
- Follow all Michigan liquor laws and company policies regarding the sale and service of alcohol.
- Recognize signs of intoxication and refuse service when appropriate using professional judgment.
- Maintain all required certifications necessary to legally serve alcohol.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service at all times.
Bar Operations
- Prepare the bar for daily service.
- Stock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of replenishment needs.
- Assist with receiving and organizing beverage deliveries.
- Keep the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.
- Perform opening and closing procedures according to company standards.
Sanitation & Food Safety
- Maintain cleanliness of all bar equipment and work areas.
- Follow sanitation and food safety procedures.
- Ensure glassware and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Maintain compliance with all health department regulations.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, managers, and other team members.
- Communicate effectively during busy service periods.
- Assist coworkers whenever necessary to ensure outstanding guest service.
- Support the continued growth and success of Noble Village's beverage program.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous bartending experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and cocktail preparation.
- Experience with Japanese spirits, sake, Japanese whisky, and Japanese-inspired cocktails is preferred but not required.
- Strong cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcohol in the State of Michigan.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently reach, bend, lift, and carry items up to 40 pounds.
- Safely transport cases of beverages and bar supplies.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement.
- Possess manual dexterity necessary to prepare beverages efficiently.
Scheduling Requirements
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Willingness to assist during special events and promotional activities.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
