Central Valley Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate, organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. As a privately owned, fully equipped, large hospital, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch veterinary care and creating a warm, welcoming environment for our clients and their pets.
Job Summary: As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors. You’ll be responsible for greeting clients, managing the front desk, answering phone calls, and assisting with administrative tasks in our fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a welcoming experience.
- Manage the front desk, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and taking messages for the veterinary team.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, preparing exam rooms, and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment.
- Develop a strong understanding of veterinary procedures and terminology to effectively communicate with clients and veterinarians.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring their satisfaction.
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting or animal care facility is preferred but not required.
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with basic animal care and handling techniques, as well as veterinary terminology.
- Proficiency with computers and ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- A friendly attitude and a passion for working with animals and people.
