Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Position Overview
A private estate in Beverly Hills is seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Maintenance Gardener to join its professional grounds team. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable horticultural professional who takes pride in maintaining beautiful, high-end outdoor spaces.
Working under the direction of the Landscape Maintenance Foreman, the Senior Gardener will help maintain the estate’s extensive grounds, ensuring the landscape remains healthy, pristine, and impeccably presented year-round. The ideal candidate has strong plant knowledge, experience maintaining luxury properties, commercial landscapes, or golf courses, and enjoys working collaboratively with an established team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, flowers, and ornamental landscaping
- Perform planting, transplanting, pruning, deadheading, watering, weeding, mowing, edging, and seasonal landscape maintenance
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other landscape treatments safely and appropriately
- Monitor plant health and assist with integrated pest management (IPM)
- Troubleshoot and perform basic irrigation system maintenance and repairs
- Operate landscape equipment safely, including:
- Commercial mowers
- String trimmers
- Edgers
- Hedge trimmers
- Chainsaws
- Rototillers
- Backpack blowers and sprayers
- Utility vehicles and golf carts
- Maintain clean, organized, and attractive outdoor spaces by removing debris, leaves, and trash
- Assist with estate event setup and breakdown as needed
- Support additional landscape and grounds maintenance projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining private estates, commercial landscapes, or golf courses
- High school diploma or GED required
- Degree or certification in horticulture, landscape management, or related field preferred
- QAL, QAC, or ISA certifications are a plus
- Strong knowledge of:
- Plant identification and care
- Tree and shrub pruning
- Lawn care and seasonal maintenance
- Fertilization and Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
- Irrigation systems and basic repairs
- Experience safely operating commercial landscape equipment
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Legally authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements
This position is physically active and requires the ability to:
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, push, and pull throughout the workday
- Safely climb ladders and navigate stairs
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
- Operate hand tools, landscaping equipment, and motorized machinery safely and efficiently
Compensation & Benefits: $35-$40/hour, depending on experience, overtime paid in accordance with applicable laws, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 3 weeks of paid vacation, 10 paid holidays, paid sick days
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
