Job Summary
We are seeking somone who is interested and willing to grow their experience as a cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This is a role that has a lot of self reliance and ability to work with a small team in a small kitchen.
Duties
- Help prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Utilize knife skills for food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Assist with catering events as needed, providing excellent service and presentation.
- Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements when necessary.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is a plus
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Highly capable in working in a fast paced environment
- A background in culinary arts or related fields is highly desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
