Job description:
Prominent insurance defense law firm is seeking experienced civil litigation attorneys for both its Irvine and San Diego offices. We have in-person and hybrid positions. You will receive excellent mentorship where one will grow and develop into a successful trial attorney!
Qualifications:
- Must be an active member in good standing with the CA Bar
- Prior insurance defense experience is preferred but not required
- Experience drafting discovery, pleadings, and a variety of motions
- Excellent knowledge of online legal research i.e., Westlaw
- Ability and desire to produce excellent work product that reflects strong research, writing and analytical skills
- Must be driven, a self-starter and able to independently manage a caseload
- Must be able to work well under strict deadlines
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills are a must
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of civil litigation cases, from initial client consultation through trial and settlement negotiations.
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests with precision and clarity.
- Develop case strategies by analyzing facts, evidence, and applicable laws across various practice areas including personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and more.
- Negotiate settlements effectively to achieve favorable results for clients while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
- Collaborate with clients to gather information, provide updates on case progress, and advise on legal options.
- Maintain meticulous case files and documentation in accordance with firm policies and legal standards.
