Sit‑Down Forklift Operator
Location: Savannah, GA
Schedule: Full‑Time, Mon-Fri 9am-6pm Overtime as needed
About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and safety‑focused Sit‑Down Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This position plays a key role in daily operations by moving, loading, and unloading materials efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a sit‑down forklift to move products, pallets, and materials throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks while following all safety procedures
- Perform accurate picking, staging, and put‑away of inventory
- Inspect forklift daily and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company policies, safety rules, and OSHA guidelines
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed
Requirements
- Sit‑down forklift experience required 2 years at least
- Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Shipping/receiving experience
- Basic computer skills
