Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Reading Doctor to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Analyze and interpret medical imaging with precision and attention to detail
- Review diagnostic reports generated by radiology technologists and ensure accuracy for clinical use
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide insights that support diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain thorough documentation of findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions to contribute expert opinions on complex cases involving specialties like cardiology, neurology, and dermatolory.
- Stay current with advancements in diagnostic techniques, medical imaging technology, and relevant clinical research
- Support quality assurance initiatives by reviewing imaging quality and ensuring compliance with hospital standards and protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Reading Doctor or radiologist with post-residency experience in diagnostic radiology or related fields
- Extensive knowledge of medical imaging modalities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, and radiation therapy
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or similar platforms for accurate documentation and reporting
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and clinical research methods
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals across multiple specialties including emergency medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology (Ob/Gyn), anesthesiology, pathology, pulmonology, cardiology, dermatology, and more
- Experience working in inpatient settings such as hospital medicine or Level I trauma centers is highly desirable
- Basic life support (BLS) certification and familiarity with infection control practices are required
- Excellent analytical skills combined with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple cases efficiently in a high-volume environment
