The Oven Process Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring thermal processing equipment to support production requirements. This role ensures materials are processed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality standards and operating procedures. The position also supports equipment care, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts within the production environment.
Essential Job Duties

Operate, monitor, and adjust oven equipment in accordance with established procedures
- Load and unload materials and ensure proper handling throughout the process
- Follow production schedules and complete work in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform routine start-up, shutdown, and changeover activities
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately
- Monitor process conditions and identify potential quality concerns
- Escalate issues and support problem-solving efforts as needed
- Perform basic equipment checks and cleaning
- Support preventive maintenance activities as assigned
- Participate in process improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Support standardization and cross-training efforts within the team
- Report safety concerns, incidents, and near misses promptly
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications
Education and Experience
-
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience with inventory control systems preferred

Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures is required.

Ability to operate and understand labeling systems.

Experience working with thermal processing or industrial equipment
- Understanding production documentation and data entry requirements.

Must be able to operate forklifts and obtain certification if required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing, walking and repetitive tasks

Prolonged exposure to loud noises, heat, and moving equipment

Capability to bend, reach, and climb ladders, and work in elevated positions when needed

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time and ability to lift and move materials within established guidelines
- Must be able to traverse property and facility.

Dexterity in hands and feet to operate forklift controls with precision.
- Required to wear PPE in the plant and complete safety training.
