Key Responsibilities:
1. Follow Care Plan: Adhere to the care plan, which includes:
- Communication skills
- Observation and documentation of resident status
- Vital sign measurement
- Infection control
- Recognizing changes in residents' conditions
- Ensuring a safe environment
- Responding to emergencies
- Meeting residents' physical, emotional, and developmental needs
- Using health technology and assistive devices
2. ADLs Assistance: Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as:
- Bathing
- Oral hygiene
- Hearing aids
- Toileting and elimination
- Safe transfer techniques and ambulation
- Normal range of motion and positioning
- Adequate nutrition and fluid intake, including assistance with eating
- Assistance with dressing and undressing
- Laundry, meal preparation, shopping, household chores, and etc.
3. Delegated Tasks: Perform additional tasks, such as medication administration, after proper instruction and demonstration. Complete necessary documentation in clinical records.
4. Person-Centered Care: Incorporate person-centered principles in interactions with residents, representatives, and family members.
5. Safety Practices: Implement good safety practices, including:
- Proper body mechanics
- Falls prevention
- Reporting hazards and equipment issues
- Immediate spill cleanup
- Infection control measures
- Knowledge of emergency procedures
- Reporting incidents/accidents
6. Socialization & Communication: Plan and facilitate activities to enhance resident socialization. Assist residents with personal communication skills as needed. Promote a safe and respectful environment while respecting residents' dignity and privacy.
7. Stress Management: Recognize and manage personal stress that may affect work performance.
8. In-Service Education: Participate in required in-service educational programs as per state regulations.
9. Additional Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by the Director or Clinical Nurse Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Home Health Aide course completion preferred
- Satisfactory completion of competency test
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend and carry out directions and instructions
- Able to function effectively with minimal direct supervision
- Good health status and emotional stability
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Resident service and service excellence
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
