Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient intake processes.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
- Prepare exam rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy and medication administration.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring precise medical documentation and recordkeeping.
- Support medical office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing insurance forms, and maintaining medical records.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks like specimen collection and processing while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, or post-treatment care as directed by providers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical office settings with familiarity in medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Knowledge of dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or outpatient clinical environments is highly desirable.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required to ensure patient safety during emergencies.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and EMR/EHR systems to support accurate patient care documentation.
- Experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs collection, and medical assisting techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in inpatient or outpatient settings with Level I or Level II trauma center exposure preferred.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics or specialized units like PICU or OR settings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
