Adkev, a leader in precision injection molding and manufacturing, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented 3rd Shift Shipping Technician at our Harwood Heights, IL facility.
Our Shipping and Receiving team plays a critical role in supporting daily manufacturing operations by ensuring materials, components, and finished goods are accurately received, processed, documented, stored, and shipped according to customer and company requirements.

Position Summary
The Shipping Technician is responsible for coordinating daily shipping and receiving activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, processing required documentation, and ensuring materials move efficiently throughout the facility.
This position supports manufacturing operations by receiving incoming materials, preparing customer shipments, verifying inventory transactions, maintaining organized warehouse areas, and ensuring all shipping and receiving activities are completed accurately and on time.
The Shipping Technician works closely with production, customer service, quality, purchasing, and logistics partners to support customer requirements while maintaining Adkev’s commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and IATF standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, supplies, components, and customer shipments according to company procedures
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for correct part numbers, quantities, labels, and documentation
- Prepare finished goods shipments based on customer requirements and shipping schedules
- Process shipping and receiving transactions accurately within company systems
- Create, review, and maintain shipping documentation including packing slips, labels, bills of lading, and related records
- Coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries to support customer and production requirements
- Communicate shipment updates, discrepancies, and material concerns to appropriate departments
- Organize and maintain inventory locations for finished goods, raw materials, and received items
- Assist with inventory accuracy through cycle counts, material verification, and proper system transactions
- Ensure customer-specific packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements are followed
- Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and report quality or delivery concerns
- Support production by delivering materials and assisting with warehouse needs as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area through 5S practices
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality requirements
- Adhere to Adkev, Inc.’s policies, procedures, instructions, and No Fault Attendance Policy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience processing shipping documents, inventory transactions, or ERP system entries preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain required equipment certifications
- Basic computer skills including data entry and document processing
- Basic math skills with the ability to verify counts and quantities accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including shifts up to 12 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform warehouse-related activities
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment while using required personal protective equipment
