Patient Service Representative
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90048
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: 8-hour shift scheduled between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office
- Experience with medical insurance, referrals, and benefit plans
- Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions
- Preferred: 2+ years of Patient Service Representative experience
- Preferred: CS-Link/Epic experience
- Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients in person and by phone
- Greet patients, address concerns, and escalate issues when appropriate
- Check patients in/out and collect co-payments
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Schedule appointments and complete patient registration
- Process and track referrals and insurance authorizations
- Handle patient and provider correspondence
- Explain policies, procedures, and services to patients
- Sanitize the workspace according to department guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Experience:
- Recent outpatient clinic: 2 years (Required)
- Patient Service Representative: 2 years (Required)
- CS-Link/Epic: 1 year (Required)
