We are seeking an experienced Residential Interior Designer with advanced proficiency in Chief Architect software to join a growing residential remodeling team in Barberton, Ohio.
This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented designer with hands-on experience designing kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home renovations. You will work directly with homeowners to turn their ideas into functional, attractive, and construction-ready designs while collaborating closely with project managers, contractors, vendors, and suppliers throughout the remodeling process.
Key Responsibilities

Design kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home renovation projects using Chief Architect software.

Meet directly with homeowners to understand their needs, lifestyle, budget, and design preferences.

Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, and client presentation materials.

Produce accurate, construction-ready drawings and design documentation for remodeling projects.

Guide clients through selections for cabinetry, fixtures, finishes, flooring, lighting, colors, and other materials.

Coordinate design details with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors.

Revise drawings and design concepts based on client feedback and project requirements.

Ensure designs are functional, aesthetically cohesive, code-conscious, and practical to build.

Manage design documentation and project files across multiple active remodeling projects.

Support projects throughout the design and construction phases to help ensure the finished work aligns with the approved plans.
Requirements

Professional experience in residential interior design, remodeling, or home renovation.

Advanced proficiency with Chief Architect software is required.

Strong understanding of residential construction methods, space planning, and detailing.

Experience creating floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, and construction-ready drawings.
