Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience launching an app and developing customers in the pet industry. You'll be responsible for supporting our efforts in driving growth and adoption. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in sales, strategic planning, and market analysis, and be eager to learn from industry professionals.
NOTE: Candidate must be still in college and US based. We will not consider your application if you're not able to receive credit for this internship. Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements.
Duties
As a Business Development Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the development and execution of business development strategies to penetrate several new markets.
- Supporting management with customer relationship management activities, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Conducting market research to identify potential customers and industry trends in the pet world that can inform strategic planning efforts.
- Utilizing Hubspot and other software tools to track leads, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales data.
- Participating in content and ad creation to help with adoption.
- Collaborating with team members on negotiations and proposals to secure new business opportunities.
Experience
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:
- Basic familiarity with sales techniques and customer relationship management principles.
- Proficiency in software applications such as Hubspot and email marketing tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for negotiation.
