Givens Affordable Communities (https://givenscommunities.org/givens-affordable-communities-stand-as-a-pillar-of-accessible-senior-living/) is looking for a Director of Property Management to join our affordable communities leadership team. This is a senior leadership position within Affordable Communities responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for Givens’ affordable and middle-income projects and any managed projects. The Director of Property Management oversees or performs all the work necessary to protect assets and ensure properties are well operated and maintained.
What you'll do:
- Provide supervision and support for Community Managers
- Provide oversight to leasing and marketing team members to successfully market and lease units in a timely manner in order to maintain maximum occupancy
- Collaborate with Affordable Communities ED and Project Development staff to develop pre-leasing and operations for new communities
- Monitor and provide oversight for risk management issues
- Monitor property budgets, review purchases, and control costs
- Oversee maintenance of properties to ensure successful compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with HR department and Affordable Communities ED on the resolution of personnel issues
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
What you'll need:
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in property management, commercial real estate, or related field
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi Voyager, OneSite, Boston Post, etc. preferred
- Knowledge of property management functions
- Bachelor’s degree or extensive experience in affordable housing required, while bachelor’s degree in management, Human Services, Aging Services, Mental Health or related field is preferred
- Fair Housing and Section 504/ADA certification desired, or willing to obtain once hired
- Certifications in property management, affordable housing management, HUD and Tax Credit management preferred
Compensation is $95,000 - $105,000 per year, based on background and experience and includes our comprehensive benefits package
