Position Details
- Position: Timekeeping & Payroll Specialist
- Location: Riverside, CA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Full-Time | In-Office
- Pay: $23.00–$26.00 per hour
- Mandatory overtime as needed to meet payroll deadlines
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Performance-based raises based on efficiency, accuracy, effort, and growth demonstrated during training

Position Summary
The Timekeeping & Payroll Specialist will help ensure accurate, timely, and compliant weekly payroll for our employees and clients.
You will work closely with our Operations, Recruiting, and Accounting teams while also communicating directly with clients regarding payroll and timekeeping matters.
The ideal person is someone who is organized, dependable, friendly, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You should be feasible at solving problems, helping others, and taking ownership of your work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage weekly payroll processing for temporary and contract employees
- Serve as a payroll point of contact for the agency's clients
- Communicate with clients and recruiting staff regarding payroll questions, deadlines, timecards, and issue resolution
- Review, audit, and validate timecards, punches, and client approvals
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, including missed punches, rate changes, and corrections amongst other requests like paystub reports, direct deposit inquiries, reconciliations, etc.
- Process off-cycle checks, adjustments, and retroactive pay when needed
- Assist with employee payroll questions and provide friendly, professional support
- Work with Operations and Account Management on client onboarding and payroll setup
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
- Assist with payroll reports, reconciliations, and audits
- Help identify ways to improve payroll processes and efficiency
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and payroll information
- Follow applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour requirements (CA,NJ,AZ, GA and counting...)
- Support the payroll team with additional responsibilities as the company continues to grow
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has 1–3 years of payroll experience
- Staffing, workforce solutions, or high-volume payroll experience is preferred but not required
- Is bilingual in English and Spanish
- Has experience working with employees and/or external clients
- Has strong knowledge of payroll processing and timekeeping systems
- Understands payroll deadlines and the importance of accuracy
- Has strong attention to detail — ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS A MUST!
- Is organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Has experience with payroll systems, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and reporting tools
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Is dependable, motivated, and willing to learn
- Is willing to work mandatory overtime when needed to ensure payroll deadlines are met
- Takes pride in their work and wants to grow with a team
