Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Manager

Overview:
We are looking for an organized and proactive Assistant Warehouse Manager to support operations at our distribution center. This role will assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily activities, ensuring accurate material flow, and driving operational efficiency through data analysis and cross-departmental coordination.
Duties:
- Operations Support: Assist the Warehouse Manager in coordinating daily shipping, receiving, inventory control, and distribution activities to ensure smooth workflows.
- Team Coordination: Help supervise warehouse supervisors and frontline staff regarding work schedules, acting as a liaison to ensure clear communication of directives.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining data accuracy within the inventory management system, support regular cycle counts, analyze inventory discrepancies, and propose improvement suggestions.
- Dispatching Follow-up: Track vehicle dispatching and carrier performance, assist in optimizing delivery routes and time slots to ensure on-time delivery.
- Vendor Communication: Support daily communication with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, follow up on service processes, and collect performance data.
- Process Optimization: Participate in warehouse layout planning and process improvement projects, collect operational data on-site, and assist the manager in executing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reporting & Administration: Compile daily operational KPI reports (e.g., accuracy rates, on-time performance, productivity), and handle departmental administrative tasks and meeting schedules.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations; team leadership or supervisory support experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control logic. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, data analysis).
- Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of basic logistics, freight, and warehousing processes.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively coordinate among team members and across departments.
- Execution: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure, responding quickly to on-site emergencies.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
