SUMMARY:
The Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across both the cinema and restaurant areas during assigned shifts. Working under the general direction of the General Manager, this role ensures a smooth, efficient, and high-quality guest experience by supervising team members, maintaining service standards, and supporting all floor operations. The Floor Supervisor leads by example—upholding THE LOT’s policies, procedures, and brand standards—while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and hospitality. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure exceptional service and operational excellence across all departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, adequate staffing, and completion of side work.
- Monitor and support staff performance, holding team members accountable to THE LOT’s guest service and operational standards.
- Assist with training and onboarding new team members, ensuring adherence to brand expectations.
- Solicit and review guest feedback, taking proactive measures to resolve concerns and improve service delivery.
- Coach, develop, and motivate team members to achieve shift goals and deliver consistent, high quality service.
- Report team member injuries and guest incidents to HR and Corporate promptly and accurately.
- Maintain proficiency in Vista Ticketing Point of Sale (POS) system, including but not limited to: ticket sales, comps, swaps, refunds, membership management, marketing/re-admit passes, gift card sales, and point redemptions.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, health and safety policies, and administrative objectives.
- Oversee team member rest breaks, unpaid meal breaks, and overtime to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policy.
- Maintain and update team member checklists, side work assignments, and operational logs.
- Ensure team members deliver exceptional guest service and uphold THE LOT’s brand standards at all times.
- Perform daily opening, closing, and administrative duties as required.
- Collaborate with fellow supervisors and managers to ensure seamless operations and communication across departments.
- Assist with special projects and events as assigned by management.
The associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in hospitality, food and beverage, or entertainment operations.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills with guests, staff, and peers.
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability with respect to attendance, punctuality, and follow through.
- Open availability including weekends, evenings, and major holidays.
- Proficiency with POS systems (Vista preferred) and strong general computer literacy.

- Must be able to work independently, self-motivate, and exercise good judgment in dynamic situations.
- Must possess excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Must conduct oneself in accordance with THE LOT’s policies and procedures at all times.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, twist, and bend for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity and coordination are required to perform operational tasks.
- Frequent movement between cinema, restaurant, and guest service areas required.
- Must be able to work in environments with varying noise levels and lighting conditions
