Overview
As an MRI Technologist, you'll perform advanced magnetic resonance imaging studies that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of medical conditions.
Working alongside radiologists, physicians, nurses, and fellow imaging professionals, you'll ensure every examination is performed safely, efficiently, and with the highest standards of diagnostic quality.
You'll be responsible for maintaining patient comfort throughout the imaging process while utilizing advanced MRI technology to produce detailed diagnostic images that support exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
As the MRI Technologist, you will:
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols
- Prepare, educate, and position patients to maximize safety, comfort, and image quality
- Conduct thorough MRI safety screenings, including evaluation of implants, medical devices, allergies, and contraindications
- Operate advanced MRI equipment while producing accurate, diagnostic-quality images
- Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs or emergencies
- Administer contrast agents in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Perform routine equipment quality assurance checks and report maintenance concerns promptly
- Maintain compliance with MRI safety standards, infection prevention practices, and regulatory requirements
- Educate patients and family members regarding MRI procedures to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation
- Support general Radiologic Technology responsibilities when departmental workflow requires additional imaging coverage
Qualifications
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, or a related healthcare discipline
Licensure & Certifications
Required:
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Preferred:
- ARRT (MR) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience
- Previous MRI experience preferred
- Experience performing advanced MRI procedures, including cardiac MRI or functional MRI, is considered an advantage
- New graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
