Position Summary: As a Parts Specialist, you will be the vital link between our customers and the parts they need to keep their equipment running smoothly. You’ll provide exceptional service while sourcing parts and fulfilling orders. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with people, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
● Inventory Control: Receiving parts, verifying deliveries against packing slips/invoices, bin locations and labeling, systemically deliver parts to technicians jobs, and accurately stocking parts in designated locations.
● Record Keeping: Entering data into inventory systems (Cost, Part numbers, Description’s), maintaining accurate records of parts sold through POS system, and tracking shipments. Utilize manufacturer portals to check inventory for service or customer orders to spot any potential backorder.
● Order Processing: Fulfilling internal and customer orders by locating and preparing parts for service technicians or retail sales. Reach out to vendors for parts breakdowns, and obtain estimates for parts orders, and parts that are not orderable.
● Administrative Tasks: Handling paperwork related to shop supplies, and incoming parts invoices that you receive, local vendor return invoices, as well as performing general clerical duties.
● Workspace Maintenance: Keep the parts department clean, organized, and safe, ensuring parts are stored correctly and bins are tidy.
● Other Duties: Quote shipping, assisting with inventory counts, Answering the parts department phone line, build hydraulic hoses, and fulfilling other duties as assigned by the parts manager.
Basic Qualifications:
● Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
● Proficiency in organization skills to ensure job efficiency
● Positive attitude and task oriented
● Ability to work well in a team environment
● Ability to adapt in a fast paced setting
● Prior forklift or tractor driving experience (Or ability to learn)
● Basic Hydraulic connection identification knowledge
● Receive cash transactions accurately
Preferred qualifications:
● Dealership experience (auto or recreational)
● Aptitude for computers, typing, phone systems, and other tech
● Prior experience any of the products we sell (personal use is still a plus)
