Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Financial Literacy Instructor to educate individuals and groups on personal finance topics such as budgeting, saving, credit management, debt reduction, investing, banking, and financial goal setting. The instructor will develop and deliver educational programs that help participants build practical money management skills and improve long-term financial well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver financial literacy workshops, classes, and training sessions.
- Teach topics including budgeting, credit scores, debt management, banking, taxes, insurance, investing, and retirement planning.
- Create lesson plans, presentations, handouts, and interactive learning activities.
- Assess participant learning needs and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
- Provide one-on-one financial coaching or guidance when appropriate.
- Track attendance, participation, and program outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program effectiveness.
- Stay updated on financial trends, regulations, and educational best practices.
- Collaborate with schools, nonprofits, community organizations, or employers to expand financial education initiatives.
- Ensure all educational content is accurate, inclusive, and easy to understand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Education, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience teaching, training, counseling, or facilitating workshops.
- Strong understanding of personal finance concepts and financial wellness strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple, practical terms.
- Proficiency with presentation software and virtual learning platforms.
- Bilingual skills may be preferred depending on the audience served.
